Let me start from the beginning;

My name is Sergiu Ciobanu, the sole craftsman behind Heirloom Leather. I moved to England nine years ago in pursuit of a better life for my family and our future.

Since arriving, I’ve gained valuable experience across a range of industries, including warehouse operations, team leadership, automotive repair, car sales, and photography. Each role has helped me build a strong work ethic, develop diverse skills, and deepen my commitment to providing quality service in everything I do.

For many years, I felt a sense of incompleteness - like I hadn't yet found my true calling. I explored various jobs and hobbies, always searching for something that resonated deeply with me. That search ended when I discovered my passion for leather - not just any leather, but high-quality, full-grain leather that stands the test of time.

I’ve always appreciated the craftsmanship behind a well-made wallet - the kind that feels just right in your hand, that you can tell is built to last. The kind that develops a beautiful patina over time and becomes even more unique and characterful with 

As I delved deeper, I discovered the world of vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather. It opened my eyes to the reality that many so-called "premium" products are often made from low-quality materials that wear out quickly and lack longevity. This realisation inspired me to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also durable, timeless, and crafted to improve with age.

Like many, I’ve always believed that if you want something done right, you have to do it by yourself. That mindset is what led me to start this journey and instantly fell in love with this process. As someone who holds themselves to the highest standards, I’ve invested countless hours in refining my designs, researching the best tools, and honing my craft. This relentless pursuit of perfection has allowed me to create a product that reflects my unwavering commitment to quality and attention to detail.
